CHIP researches health issues of concern to citizens and healthcare providers, and then publishes local data gleaned from that research. Where possible, these data are translated into user-friendly guides and other resources geared for the public.

Research & Data Reports

2010 Community Health Survey	Current Research: 2010 Community Health Survey Health behaviors, access to healthcare services, social support, prescription drug use, social trust, mental health, civic participation … these topics (and more!) are included as part of CHIP’s third community health survey. The survey was recently sent to randomly selected households in Sarasota, Charlotte and DeSoto Counties. Data gathered from this effort will be shared with residents, community organizations and leaders and will be used to help guide community health improvement planning efforts. The survey is funded by the Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice, with additional support from the Sarasota and DeSoto County Health Departments and the Charlotte County United Way.
